On Friday, Robin and I went to the Western Force v Lions (South Africa) game. Lucky for us, we had box seats with an awesome side-on view, all we could drink and a hot dinner to boot.
We decided the take the train (it's convenient living closer to the city) and headed in early to beat the rush and get more drinks into the system. It had been years since I had been to a game at Subiaco Oval so I couldn't even remember which station to get off at... so we just followed the crowds.
I still don't know the rules to Rugby Union very well, but I still had a blast watching the 'Force chew up the Lions. They scored a try in the first 90 seconds and that pretty much set the pace for the rest of the game.
There were fireworks for each try of the game, but after the fifth try, the organisers ran out of poppers and had to stick to the sparklers. The final score was 55 to 14 to the Western Force.
