Work is going well, I think I've settled in fairly well. There has been heaps of training and familiarisation. The business systems are very good and aren't too hard to master. Most of the hard work is actually going to be in the application engineering part, and trying to get all the work done that is generated from site visits.
I've also been cooking for myself again, meaning that I'm not eating everything out of the freezer. I've made the effort to go to Woolies and buy beautiful fresh food as often as I can, with focus on fruits and veges.
I did my last shift at the Carlisle Hotel on Sunday night, and I'm glad it was only four hours. I was fairly tired and it was extremely hot behind the bar. I was drinking lemon, lime bitters and fire engines like there was no tomorrow.
This evening, I'm sitting here with the 5 Seeds, waiting for the washing to finish. I'm glad that life has gone back to normal after the crazy storm that hit Perth yesterday. The house was battered with wind and rain, with water running down the inside of the walls, running out through light fittings and out of powerpoints. The pilot light in the hot water system blew out again and it was full of water; same as last year.
